Lenovo is holding its Transform event in New York City today, where it announced the ThinkStation P320 Tiny. It"s the third member of the P320 family, as a full-sized tower and an SFF (small form factor) model was announced back in March.
The firm says that it"s the "world"s smallest workstation with ISV certification", coming in at 1.4x7.1x7.2 inches, and weighing 2.9 pounds. That package will hold up to an Intel Core i7 processor, an Nvidia Quadro P600 GPU, up to 32GB RAM, and up to 2TB of storage. It also sports six USB 3.0 ports (with two on the front), two full-size DisplayPorts, and four Mini-DisplayPorts.
“The workspace is evolving and so is our PCSD business. The Commercial Business Segment has been created to service our customers through innovative solutions & tools that will help them harness the intelligence transformation,” said Christian Teismann, senior vice president & GM of Lenovo"s Commercial Business Segment, PCSD. “ThinkStation P320 Tiny and PCaaS are just two solutions within our tool kit we are launching to help IT organizations transform. PCs will continue to be the integral component of the personalized computing future.”
PC as a Service (PCaaS) is an offering from Lenovo that simplifies "the financing, deployment, management and disposal process" by packaging it into one solution with a monthly cost. Along with workstations, businesses can also choose other products from the company, such as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 Yoga.
Like the other devices in the family, it comes with an option of having Windows 10, Windows 7, or Linux pre-installed. You can purchase Lenovo"s ThinkStation P320 Tiny today, starting at $799.
Update: This article has been updated to reflect that the ThinkStation P320 Tiny starts at $799, rather than $849.
