Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona tomorrow, but Lenovo seemingly wanted to get a head start and decided to make a number of announcements today. The company just announced the launch of its new smartphones, the VIBE K5 Plus and its smaller sibling the VIBE K5.
The two handsets represent new options from Lenovo for those looking for decent specs on a tight budget. In fact, the two phones are closer to the mid and low-end of the market, rather than its top of the line, offering “brilliant performance and robust features for a whole lot less” as the company puts it.
Lenovo is positioning the two aluminium-encased, dual-SIM phones as music and entertainment-focused devices and their specs are as follows:

The Lenovo VIBE K5 and the VIBE K5 Plus will go on sale in March with a starting price of $129 for the K5 and $149 for the K5 Plus. They’ll be available in select markets in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
