Back in May 2019, Lenovo announced Project Limitless, the world"s first 5G PC. It wasn"t until CES this year that it fully unveiled the laptop as the Yoga 5G, and it wasn"t until June that it shipped. In the U.S., however, it shipped as the Flex 5G, and it"s made for Verizon.
While other 5G PCs were announced at CES, this is the only one that supports both sub6 and mmWave, the latter of which means that you can get multi-gigabit speeds. While it"s certified for Verizon, the device actually supports every 5G band that"s in use in the United States.
The Flex 5G uses Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 8cx 5G Compute Platform. That means that it"s a Windows on ARM PC, so along with that integrated cellular connectivity, you also get better battery life, instant-on, and more. In fact, the Flex 5G has a 60Whr battery, so it should have better battery life than other ARM PCs, which tend to have smaller batteries thanks to a thinner form factor.
