Lenovo Legion 5i unboxing and first impressions

Announced back in April, Lenovo"s Legion 5i is among the first to include Intel"s 10th-generation H-series processors, also known as Comet Lake H. In fact, it also has an AMD variant, which uses the new AMD Ryzen 4000 H-series chips, so you can actually have your choice in who provides the silicon. The graphics go up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, which is impressive for an entry-level gaming laptop.

But Lenovo made improvements all-around. It"s got slimmer bezels with a privacy guard on the webcam, and there"s a new TrueStrike keyboard with optional four-zone RGB lighting. Those slimmer bezels are around a 15.6-inch FHD display, and you can have it configured with up to a 240Hz refresh rate and 500-nit brightness. That"s not what"s in the review unit though, which has a 144Hz 300-nit panel.

Lenovo says that it uses a six-point thermal sensor array for its ColdFront 2.0 cooling technology, and it is promising improved battery life with Q-Control and Rapid Charge Pro. Check out the unboxing video below:
