Lenovo refreshes its ThinkPad X1 portfolio with all-new ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga

It just wouldn"t be CES if Lenovo didn"t refresh its premium ThinkPad X1 laptops, or at least the main entries (X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga). Obviously, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is still brand-new, as is the X1 Nano, and the ThinkPad X1 Extreme is on a different schedule. While we"re getting refreshes of the two original X1 devices, Lenovo is adding yet another new one, and it"s reviving a familiar model.

First up, we"ve got the brand-new ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, which is made out of, you guessed it, titanium. That"s not the only difference from the regular ThinkPad X1 yoga though. It has a 13.5-inch 3:2 display, something that we"ve been seeing a lot of in laptops lately. It comes with Dolby Vision HDR support, and a Dolby Atmos audio system.

Then there"s the regular ThinkPad X1 Yoga, and the X1 Carbon. These PCs are being completely redesigned, a welcome change since last year"s models shipped in the same chassis as their predecessors. You"ll notice that the bezels are smaller, and that"s made possible by the larger screen. Indeed, both the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 are going to come with 16:10 displays now.

Also, all of the new ThinkPad X1 PCs are getting 5G options. They also support Dolby Voice with spatial audio technology.

ThinkPad X12 Detachable

The last time Lenovo announced a ThinkPad X1 Tablet was at CES 2018, and while there was a leak of a new one, the ThinkPad X12 Detachable is splintered off from the X1 lineup. It has a 12.3-inch display, and like all of the products being announced today, it comes with Intel"s 11th-generation processors, Thunderbolt 4, and more.

The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga and ThinkPad X12 Detachable are coming this month, starting at $1,899 and $1,149, respectively. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 are coming in February, starting at $1,429 and $1,569, respectively.
