Lenovo refreshes its ThinkPads with 8th-gen processors and USB-C charging

It"s almost time for CES 2018 to kick off, which can only mean that it"s time for Lenovo to refresh its lineup of ThinkPad laptops and convertibles. Last year, we saw laptops like the T470 and T570, all with seventh-generation "Kaby Lake" processors. This year"s range sees an upgrade to the eighth-generation "Kaby Lake R" chips, which are now quad-core.

First up is the ThinkPad X series, with the X280 and the X380 Yoga. Lenovo says that the X280 is 20% lighter than its predecessor at 2.6 pounds and 15% thinner at 17.4mm.
