Lenovo Smart Tab P10 unboxing: A tablet that docks and turns into an Alexa smart display

Announced at CES this year, the Lenovo Smart Tab P10 is a somewhat unique device. It"s an Android tablet with a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 display, but it also comes with a dock. When docked, it turns into an Amazon Alexa-powered smart display.

Including a Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage, the device intrigued me. In general, I"m a big fan of tablets, but the vast majority of the time, my tablets are just sitting on a desk somewhere. What if when I"m not using a tablet, it actually served a purpose? The Smart Tab P10 adds a unique solution for that.

While docked, it can do pretty much everything that an Echo Show can do. The display gives it another dimension that a smart speaker doesn"t have. For example, if you ask for the weather, it can show you an entire forecast instead of trying to read it out to you. You can also have it show you your calendar, give you instructions for a recipe, and so on.
