While Oppo and Vivo have both introduced uniquely designed handsets featuring a motorized pop-up camera, it looks like other smartphones brands are taking a different approach when it comes to building a smartphone with a bezel-less display. Yesterday, Honor teased its Magic 2, while Xiaomi gave us a sneak peek at the Mi MIX 3, both offering a slider design. Now, Lenovo has thrown its hat into the ring, giving us an informal look at its upcoming slider handset.
The unnamed smartphone was posted to the Vice President of Lenovo"s Weibo account. The short video shows off a device with hardly any bezel. There is a digital fingerprint embedded on the screen, indicating that it will most likely utilize an in-display fingerprint reader. While this is certainly interesting, the big reveal is saved for the end, when a portion of the phone slides up, revealing a front-facing camera and sensors.
Again, at the current time, there are no other details about the phone and there isn"t a timeline of when it will arrive to market. But for the time being, you can check out the video and see the smartphone in action.
