Last month, I reviewed Lenovo"s ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which was announced at CES 2017. The model that I received was the one with a Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 1080p LCD, but as I noted at the time, the company offers a variant with a 1440p OLED display.
I"m also not a fan of 1080p displays in premium laptops, and I"ve always said that 1440p is the sweet spot between a high resolution and battery life. And frankly, OLED screens are just beautiful.
This one is no exception, as this PC is simply a delight to use. This model is more powerful as well, packing a Core i7 CPU and 16GB RAM, along with 512GB of storage.
And make no mistake, the first one that I reviewed was excellent. I applauded Lenovo for the use of three USB Type-A ports and two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the retracting keys when the display is folded back. To be honest though, the OLED model just seems to be that much better.
