Lenovo is set to announce a gaming smartphone under the Legion brand on July 22. Ahead of the launch, we have come across a bunch of leaks. But the latest rumor is the most interesting of the lot, hinting at a unique feature.
Lenovo’s Legion gaming phone could be the first in the world to feature a 20MP pop-up camera on the side. The device was spotted on China’s JD.com by 91Mobiles. There’s no word on how this unique placement will help users or gamers. The camera is said to take only 0.496 seconds to pop out, and 0.5 seconds to retract.
The e-commerce website also lists the upcoming smartphone’s specifications and features. If they are to be believed, the Legion gaming phone will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ SoC, at least 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage.
Other alleged features include dual rear cameras (64MP primary sensor + 16MP wide-angle sensor), an in-display fingerprint sensor, and dual-speakers with 65mm drivers. Reports also hint at the possibility of 90W fast charging support. On the software side, the device is expected to run Android 10 with Legion OS on top.
Rest of the details will no doubt be revealed on July 22 during the launch. The smartphone listing also hints at a price tag of about $670.
