The IFA consumer electronics trade show is under way in Berlin this week, where many of the world"s leading tech companies are showing off some of their latest and greatest devices. On Friday, Microsoft will be holding an event to show off some of the new Windows 10 devices on the way from its retail partners - but many of them have already unveiled new hardware today.
Lenovo, for example, announced the Miix 700, a high-end tablet with detachable keyboard that appears to draw rather a lot of inspiration from Microsoft"s Surface Pro 3. But that wasn"t the only machine Lenovo unveiled today - among others, it also announced the AIO 700, a Windows 10 all-in-one PC with some beastly specs.
The AIO 700 will be available with either a 24- or 27-inch touch-display, with up to 4K (3840x2160px) resolution, along with Intel"s newest-generation "Skylake" Intel Core i7 processors. Among its other key specs, you"ll be able to get up to 2TB of storage, up to 16GB of RAM, integrated JBL speakers, and an array of ports including USB 3.0/2.0, and HDMI-out and -in.
Gamers may be interested to know that it also comes with various graphics options, up to NVIDIA"s GeForce GTX 950A 2GB VRAM card - a nice feature, given that many all-in-ones must make do with far less impressive graphics solutions.
Notably, the AIO 700 is one of the first PCs to support Windows Hello, the new biometric authentication system in Windows 10, which can sign you in to your PC simply by scanning your face. The Lenovo all-in-one is available with an Intel RealSense camera that supports this feature - but it will be an optional extra.
Lenovo says that the 24-inch model will go on sale next month, priced from $1,099 USD; the 27-inch version will start at $1,899, but the company hasn"t yet announced when it will be available.
