Lenovo's new Yoga C730 has a 4K AMOLED display, but it's not coming to the U.S.

After refreshing its ThinkPads yesterday, it"s time for Lenovo to announce new premium consumer devices today, starting with the Yoga C730. The big new feature for this machine is that it has a 15.6-inch 4K AMOLED display.

Lenovo hasn"t used any OLED displays in its premium PCs since its 2017 lineup of ThinkPad X1 devices, so this is a big deal. The rest of its lineup has shifted to Dolby Vision HDR, although this display obviously supports most HDR standards as well.

AMOLED displays tend to have more vibrant colors than LCDs, mainly due to the fact that pixels can be turned off, providing true blacks. Colors rendered on top of that look better than on top of a backlight, which can leave them looking washed out.

For audio quality, it has JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, so this machine is meant to provide an immersive, premium media consumption experience.

Aside from the stunning display, it also includes Intel"s Whiskey Lake processors, or more specifically, the Core i7-8565U, a 15W CPU. That includes integrated UHD 620 Graphics. It also comes with up to 16GB RAM and up to a 512GB SSD.

The Lenovo Yoga C730 with AMOLED will start at $1,649.99, and it"s coming in April. Unfortunately, it"s not coming to the United States, and Lenovo didn"t go into detail as to which regions it"s actually coming to.
