Today at CES, Lenovo announced the Yoga Slim 7, a new range of clamshell laptops that comes in a variety of options. With Lenovo"s previous branding method, which itself is only a couple of years old, this would have been called the Yoga S750, a successor to September"s Yoga S740.
The Slim 7 comes in both 14- and 15-inch sizes, although the 14-inch one is the one that"s available in Intel Ice Lake and AMD Ryzen 4000 flavors. Naturally, the AMD variant doesn"t have a Thunderbolt 3 port, as the 14-inch Intel model does. Also, the AMD model comes with Radeon Vega graphics, while the Intel one can either come with Iris Plus or Nvidia MX graphics.
The 15-inch model comes with Intel"s 10th-generation processors, along with either MX or GTX graphics. Unlike the 14-inch model, there"s no UHD option; it"s FHD only, and there"s no Thunderbolt 3. It does have more power though, with the 45W CPU and the GTX graphics. It also only comes in a Slate Grey color.
The 14-inch model comes in Slate Grey, Dark Moss, and Orchid, while the former has a fabric option. It comes with front-facing Dolby Atmos speakers, and it has the Glance features that were found in the Yoga S940, which could move content from one display to another just by looking at it.
The Yoga Slim 7 is expected to arrive in April, with both of the Intel models starting at $1,209.99, and the AMD Ryzen model starting at $849.99.
