After a couple months of teasing the handset, Lenovo has finally officially revealed its slider smartphone, the Z5 Pro. While many might have thought it to be on par with the likes of Xiaomi"s Mi MIX 3 or the Honor Magic 2, this device is surprisingly not in the same category.
While the design is quite similar to the aforementioned devices, the internals are what set the Z5 Pro apart. Although many speculated that this device would be powered by Qualcomm"s best, instead, it arrives with a Snapdragon 710 processor, making this a mid-range device. As far as RAM, it will have 6GB and there will be options for storage with 64GB or 128GB.
The display is quite large, coming in at 6.39 inches, with Lenovo making use of a Samsung AMOLED screen. There is also an in-display fingerprint reader, making this quite a technology-packed handset. Thanks to the slider design, the 16MP front-facing camera, along with the 8MP infrared camera, and other sensors are hidden in the rear portion of the phone, allowing the Z5 Pro to achieve a 95.06 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The device packs a dual camera setup on the rear, making use of a 16MP and 24MP sensors. As far as its battery, it is 3,350mAh unit, which should be enough to last a whole day. As far as availability, this model will be made available in China with no word of whether it will reach other countries. If interested you can order the handset from Lenovo"s website, with the 64GB model coming in at ¥1,998 or around $288 USD, while the 128GB version will cost ¥2,298 or around $331 USD.
