LG confirms launch date of forthcoming V40 ThinQ smartphone

LG"s V40 ThinQ smartphone is perhaps no great secret at this stage given that we"ve seen alleged renders of the device followed by a good deal of purported specifications of the handset just over a week ago. Preceding all of these, however, were reports that the device could launch in early October and it appears that it was right on the money.

According to an announcement on LG Electronics" website, the V40 ThinQ will launch on October 4 at 10 AM in Seoul while its global media event will take place several hours prior in New York at 5 PM Eastern Time (2 PM Pacific Time, 9 PM UTC). The video included in the announcement seems to indicate that the V40 ThinQ"s triple camera setup with standard, super wide, and telephoto lenses at its disposal.

With probably not a whole lot more to discover about LG"s upcoming smartphone, provided that the leaks to date are accurate, we will only have to wait a few weeks before the company provides the ultimate confirmation on design and technical specs.
