LG has officially sent out invitations for a May 27th event for the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone expected to be called the G3.
So far screenshots and hardware specifications of the LG G3 have leaked online but we haven"t seen any images of the device itself except for a teaser of the rear buttons from @evleaks.
The Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) handset features a mighty 3GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440px), giving a pixel density of 534ppi. There’s also a 2MP camera up front, and a 13MP shooter around the back; despite the high resolution of the display, however, the rear camera won’t record 2K video, with video capture maxing out at 1080p resolution. 32GB of onboard storage is included, along with support for microSD cards up to 64GB. Although a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC is rumoured to be part of the smartphone it is unclear whether it will be the same one used in LG G2 or of the Snapdragon 801 variety seen in latest flagship smartphones.
The launch event is set to take place over two days starting from 27th May across San Francisco, New York, London, Seoul, Singapore, and Istanbul. We will get the final details about the device and the pricing and availability once the event concludes.
