LG G6 holds its own and survives a battery of durability tests

Last year, LG suffered some backlash with its G5 flagship when it came to the build quality and also its modular design. What a difference a year makes, as the firm debuted its G6 at Mobile World Congress that sports a full metal and glass build, along with a sleek new design. While the device is set to make its way to carriers by week"s end, those curious about its durability will be happy to know that the G6 looks to be a fairly reliable device.

Although there have been other handsets like the Nokia 6 that have done an excellent job of passing the durability test, there are others, that simply crumble under the pressure. Luckily, LG"s latest is probably as tough as they come, offering very little flex when under the extreme bend test due to its metal frame. The front display and the glass rear are also well protected by Corning"s Gorilla Glass, which makes it resistant to scratches.

If you are interested in pre-ordering the LG G6, you can do so currently with your carrier and will also qualify to receive a free Google Home. The handset will make its way to retail at the end of the week, but some of those that pre-ordered early, have already started receiving their units.
