LG offers G6 owners a complimentary extra year of warranty coverage

The LG G6 made its debut at Mobile World Congress 2017 and has received fairly good marks from consumers and reviewers. Despite having a better reputation than its previous offering, it appears that LG might be feeling the heat from its competitors. Perhaps in an effort to provide more value with its handset, the firm has announced that it will be offering a second year of warranty with its newly announced "second year promise" program.

The complimentary extra year of warranty can be obtained by registering the handset with LG. If you have recently purchased your new G6, be sure to register it within 90 days. Those that have purchased it prior to this promotion being announced can still apply for the extended warranty period as well. This promotion is currently only available to those in the United States.

LG has lowered its price on the G6 since its retail debut, and while it is priced right, the handset does stick with the older Snapdragon 821 processor, while Samsung and HTC have both released handsets, the Galaxy S8 and U11 respectively, that offer the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
