CES 2018 is right around the corner, and that means that it"s time for all-new products in the consumer technology space. One of the things that you can expect to see at the event is new monitors, and LG has announced today that it will be unveiling some high-end screens at the Las Vegas show.
One of the models is the 34WK95U, a 34-inch UltraWide monitor with a 5K resolution (5120x2160). LG promises that the 21:9 screen will offer "eye-popping colors", and it"s great for those that need to multitask like video editors and software developers.
It also supports HDR600 and Nano IPS technology, and it"s powered by Thunderbolt 3, which can deliver 5K images at 60Hz (or it can power two 4K monitors).
Another new monitor that will be arriving in 2018 is the 32UK950, a 32-inch 4K UHD monitor with Thunderbolt 3 that supports daisy-chaining. It can display 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which can be compared to monitors "used to master Hollywood blockbusters." It also supports HDR600, which allows for high dynamic range at up to 600 candela.
Finally, the company is set to unveil a 34-inch gaming monitor, the 34GK950G. It will have a QHD resolution, supporting G-Sync and Nano IPS.
LG didn"t announce anything to do with pricing, but we"ll learn more at CES, which kicks off on January 9.
