LG Tribute Empire: Unboxing and first impressions

The LG Tribute Empire made its debut a couple of months ago on Boost Mobile in the United States. Today we take a look at the handset with a quick unboxing and first impressions.

As you can see from the design, the Tribute Empire isn"t a super sleek device made from glass and metal. With its $59 price tag, the phone is constructed from plastic but still feels quite good in the hand. The 720p display is crisp and clear, and its removable battery will no doubt make some giddy.

Because of its price, you won"t find the most advanced camera optics, but the unit offers an 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP shooter on the front. LG makes use of its own UI, which is running on top of Android 8.1 with Google"s January security update. With its octa-core SoC and 2GB RAM, you"d think things would be sluggish, but in reality, most things run quite well. Naturally, if you push the phone hard, you will see some stuttering here and there, but overall, for general daily use, like calls, messaging, and web browsing - it"s reliable.

If you have any questions about the phone, feel free to leave it down below. Otherwise, you can pick up the device from Boost Mobile.
