One of the defining features of LG"s V-series of phones has always been the camera, and the company isn"t changing that with the V30. Along with hardware improvements that include a glass lens with an f/1.6 aperture, there are also software improvements.
One of the new features is called Point Zoom. This allows you to tap on an area while recording video, and use a slider to smoothly zoom in on an object.
And there"s a new Cine Video feature as well. This is similar to filters in photos, but it"s meant to match up with different types of films. You can adjust the strength and vignette on it as well.
The company also made some changes to the wide-angle sensor on the camera. LG says that the sides of the image will look less distorted than they did on the V20, which was the first in the V-series to use a dual-lens configuration.

I"ve only had the V30 for about a week, so I"ll be able to go much deeper into the camera when I get to write a full review, so make sure to stay tuned for that.
