For a little over a month, LG has been teasing its latest flagship, the G6. While the previous iteration of the device relied on its modular design, the new model will abandon that idea for something more traditional. So far, a good deal of the specifications and designs have come to light over the past couple of weeks and it now appears that a new piece of information will give us an idea about its battery capacity.
According to the Electronic Times, an LG official has stated that the G6 will be "equipped with a large capacity battery of more than 3200mAh". If this is true, it will be a huge step up from the G5 that offered a smaller battery of 2800mAh. While the increase in size is welcome, it doesn"t come as a complete surprise considering that the new handset will offer a large 5.7-inch QHD+ display. The G6 is also expected to offer a full metal body, water resistance, a 32-bit HiFi Quad DAC, and potentially an improved warranty.
LG will hold its event on February 26 in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress. Be sure to check back, as Neowin will be on the show floor to give you first impressions and hands-on experiences.
