LG won"t be taking the wraps off of its G7 ThinQ flagship phone until next week, but as usual, the company is offering some details in advance. Today, the company announced that the device will include a "super bright display".
Like last year"s G6, it will include an LCD panel, meaning that LG decided not to go the route that it took with the V30. What"s interesting is that the FullVision display will reach a maximum of 1,000 nits, making it the brightest smartphone screen on the market. If you"ve ever complained about using your phone in direct sunlight, now is your chance to do something about it.
The size of the screen will be 6.1 inches diagonally at a 19.5:9 aspect ratio; indeed, these screens just keep getting taller and taller, with LG ditching the 18:9 aspect ratio that it used last year. The resolution will be QHD+, or 3120x1440.
LG says that the bottom bezel on the G7 will be 50% smaller than on its predecessor, and the screen will automatically adapt to six different color settings: Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game, and Expert. With Expert mode, you can fine-tune the display and control RGB color levels. The company compared it to manual settings on a camera, but for the screen.
