LG's rugged X venture handset arrives in the United States unlocked for under $300

LG debuted its rugged X venture handset a few months ago. Unfortunately, if you weren"t with AT&T, it meant that you weren"t going to be able to purchase and use it. Now, the smartphone is being made available in the United States as an unlocked variant.

If unfamiliar with the X venture, the device offers a 5.2-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a 16MP rear camera with 5MP front-facing camera, and quick charging feature that will have the phone recharged to full in two hours. Perhaps its most alluring feature will be the IP68 rating with MIL-STD 810 certification, which should make it a compelling purchase for anyone looking for a handset that can take a little bit of a beating.

As for specifications, it is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor, 2GB RAM, and a large 4,100mAh battery. If interested, you can either purchase it from AT&T direct or from Amazon for just a touch under $300.
