With the Gamers" Developer Conference set to kick off tomorrow in San Francisco, fans of Lionhead Studios are eager to find out what Peter Molyneux has lined up for his next game. The creator of the series "Fable" on Xbox and PC said in an interview with VG247 earlier this month to watch the event closely to learn more on what the UK studio is working on.
In an interview with the BBC, Molyneux had this to say:
"Naming a particular game before its" out is a difficult thing. And I"ll tell you why, because in two weeks I"m about to fly out to America for the Gamers" Development Conference and that"s the time when you start to see what"s really coming up".
"I know some of the things behind the scenes that are going on but it"d be really inappropriate to talk about them. But I can say there"s some exciting things on the way. What you think of as video games is changing and changing fast."
At the BAFTA awards, UK celebrity and TV presenter Jonathan Ross may have already spilled the beans via Twitter however. Ross claims to have been asked to lend his voice in Fable 3 on the night of the awards:
"Goodnight all. Must go to bed. Got asked to do voice in Fable 3 tonight. Subarashi. Oyasuminasia. Woss out. about 7 hours ago from web".
Fans of Fable expected a PC port of the recent sequel on Xbox 360, released last October, to be announced. Rumours have been floating around the internet since early 2009 and a date was even announced by some when Lionhead would reveal the news, however nothing came into fruition and Lionhead denied the rumours.
GDC begins tomorrow March 23rd and runs until the 27th. If news of either game is set to be announced, it"ll surely happen during the event this week.
