Logitech has introduced a new gaming mouse under its gaming-oriented Logitech G brand, the pro X Superlight. As the name suggests, the new mouse"s biggest claim to fame is that it"s the company lightest wireless gaming mouse yet, weighing in at under 63 grams, 25% lower than its standard Pro Wireless mouse.
Despite the lighter weight, Logitech has crammed its flagship components into the mouse. It features the Hero 25K sensor, which offers 25,600 DPI and can track movement smaller than a micron. To improve battery life, the sensor adjusts its frame rate depending on mouse movement so it"s not always working at its maximum rate. Logitech says that even at high DPIs, the Hero sensor is 10 times more efficient than its previous sensors, giving the Pro X Superlight a battery life of 70 hours. Notably, it still charges with a micro-USB port, which may be a downside for some.
The mouse also uses Logitech"s Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless technology, promising low-latency connections for games that require precise timing. The company has actually provided the mouse to some professional e-sports competitors before the announcement, and of course, the company says the mouse played a key role in helping them win competitions.
The Logitech G Pro X Superlight will be available from December 3, and it will cost $149.99. It"s coming in either black or white.
