We’re just one day away from Microsoft’s event where the company is expected to talk about the next versions of its desktop and mobile operating system, Windows 10. But some tiny bits of info have already started leaking out.
Microsoft’s recently launched Lumia 532 is the culprit in this story as the phone’s page contains references to Windows 10. The page’s description, indexed by search engines, clearly states that the Lumia 532 is “Windows 10 ready”.
First up, that’s a nice and reassuring hint from the company that even the low-end devices currently on the market will receive the new OS once it becomes available. Secondly we have to wonder whether or not that’s a hint towards the name of the new mobile OS.
We’ve known for a while that Windows Phone 10 wasn’t on the cards with Microsoft currently using Windows 10 Mobile in their internal naming. However, Microsoft may actually pull a smart move and keep their “one OS” naming consistent across all devices, meaning simply calling everything Windows 10 is a likely scenario.
In either case we’re very excited about tomorrow’s event where we expect to learn much more about the company’s plans. So make sure to stay tuned as we’ll cover all the major news.
