The Lumia 635 mysteriously disappeared from the Microsoft Store US site after just a day of preorders, but across the pond in the United Kingdom, there"s good news for buyers hoping to get their hands on the low-cost 4G Windows Phone.
Microsoft"s UK team just dropped us a line to confirm that the Lumia 635 will be available from July 3, priced from £119.99 off-contract. This will make it one of the most affordable handsets to include 4G LTE support in the United Kingdom, and it will be widely available too.
Three, EE, O2 and Vodafone will all offer the device directly, while retailers Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4u and Tesco will also stock it. It will be sold in orange and green versions, featuring glossy dual-layered polycarbonate shells, or for those with more sombre tastes, a matte black version will also be available.
Apart from offering 4G connectivity, the Lumia 635 is technically identical to its 3G-only sibling, the Lumia 630, which launched in the UK last month priced from £89.95. Both devices feature a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen with 854x480px resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 1830mAh battery and a 5MP rear camera.
