The new Nokia Lumia 920 is expected to launch at the beginning of next month. Right now EE (Everything Everywhere) is the only carrier in the UK that will get it, having signed an exclusivity deal with Nokia. But, according to an O2 employee, things might change later on.
Currently EE is the only carrier in the UK that sports LTE, and as such it"s the perfect fit for Nokia"s brand new device. But next year the other carriers will start rolling out their own LTE networks and they might get access to new devices. A WPCentral reader has asked O2"s customer support about the availability of the Lumia 920 and has received a positive answer: O2 will eventually offer the new device, it will be LTE enabled but exact launch dates are as yet unknown.
This makes perfect sense for the carrier who will also be selling HTC"s new Windows Phones as well as the Samsung ATIV S. However we would also recommend taking this with a grain of salt, as it wouldn"t be the first time a low-level employee gets things wrong.
