March Android security update now available for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on Sprint

A couple of weeks ago, AT&T released the February Android security update for the Galaxy Note 4, along with the Galaxy Note5 and S5 Active. Now, Sprint is upgrading its Galaxy Note 4 with security patches too - but unlike AT&T, it"s rolling out the very latest update available.

New firmware version N910PVPS4DQC1 is rolling out now to the Galaxy Note 4 on Sprint. The update includes the March security patches, which were released by Google a few weeks ago, along with various bug fixes and unspecified improvements.

Sprint"s update weighs in at a pretty chunky 332MB; by comparison, the March security update for the Galaxy S5 in Europe - which started making its way to that handset this week - was roughly one-fifth of that size, at around 68MB.

The Galaxy Note 4 continues to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and is not in line for an upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat. The device is now two and a half years old, so it may not receive many more security updates after this one either.
