The Gamecube version of fan favorite Mario Kart is finished, complete with eight-player support on two linked consoles, UK retailer Special Reserve, citing comments of unspecified time and place from Nintendo"s Shigeru Miyamoto. However, they say the game will have no online play, as expected.
Such multiplayer features would require the release of a link-cable peripheral, which has not been announced or discussed by Nintendo as yet. We"ll wait until Nintendo has something official to say around E3 time before getting too psyched up by the news, but it"s food for thought until then.
