Halo Infinite launched last year and the long-awaited Halo show recently premiered on Paramount+. Around the same time, original Halo composers Marty O"Donnell and Mike Salvatori said that they were seeking "clarity" over unpaid royalties from the time Bungie was owned by Microsoft.
According to the lawsuit filed against Microsoft, O"Donnell and Salvatori, who created the music for Halo with Bungie, say that Microsoft owes them royalties from almost two decades ago. The duo also tried to block the release of the Halo show by possibly filing an injunction against it even though it doesn"t use music created by them.

Yesterday, O"Donnell tweeted that they"ve resolved their differences with Microsoft. It"s unclear what this resolution entails, but it seems like O"Donnell and Salvatori wanted digital rights to share some videos. At least that was part of it.
It"s great to see that this lawsuit is behind both parties. Hopefully, this is the end of the saga that"s spanned a lot of legal action and fines over the past several years.
