The long-in-development MMO based on the Marvel universe and its many super hero characters will make its public debut next week at the biggest comic book convention in the US. Gazillion Entertainment announced that attendees of the San Diego Comic-Con will be the among the first to get some hands-on time with Marvel Heroes.
In the press release, it states:
As part of the San Diego Comic-Con, fans will be able to play one of four iconic Marvel characters and experience Marvel Heroes for the first time! Players will battle through the war-torn streets of Mutant Town and Fort Stryker to defeat Magneto and retrieve William Stryker from his clutches. Along the way, players will also get a taste of the extensive loot and costume options for each hero.
Gazillion first announced it had secured the rights to make a Marvel super hero MMO game in 2009. Two other attempts to make a similar game, one from the now defunct Vivendi Universal Games and the other from Microsoft and developer Cryptic Games, were cancelled. A few weeks ago, Gazillion released the first trailer for Marvel Heroes, showing off some action-RPG style gameplay.
