BioWare will be taking players of Mass Effect 3 back to the war against the Reapers later this summer in the first paid single player DLC pack for the hit sci-fi RPG. The pack is titled Leviathan and the storyline takes place sometime during the main story of the game.
BioWare has announced that the pack will feature Commander Shepard in his quest to find a legendary creature that could have enough power to destroy those nasty Reapers. The pack will add some new characters and weapons as well. It will be released for the PC and other platforms for $10 but BioWare has yet to announce a specific release date.
Before that happens, BioWare will also release a single player weapons pack for Mass Effect 3 on August 7th. The Firefight pack will add two new unamed weapons and five bonus weapons for players to use in the game for $2.
BioWare previously released the free "Extended Cut" single player DLC for Mass Effect 3. That pack was designed to expand on the story events of the game"s ending which was highly criticized by a number of players when Mass Effect 3 was first released in March.
