For the past couple of weeks, Meizu"s upcoming smartphone, the Pro 7, is appearing in various leaks from both hands-on pictures to renders. Today, another CAD render showing the Pro 7 along with its "Plus" variant has leaked by OnLeaks and Compareraja.
The device reportedly has a 2-inch E-ink colored display mounted below its rear camera unit. This display can replicate the main screen allowing users to use the phone both ways. The render also shows the device to have a dual camera setup, USB Type-C capability, a home button on the front that possibly has a fingerprint sensor and a Titanium alloy body.
The bigger sibling of the device, the Pro 7 Plus, is claimed to have a 5.7-inch 4k display with always on technology, while the Pro 7 will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display. Both of these will be super AMOLED displays with 3D touch capabilities.
Both devices will reportedly pack 12MP Sony IMX386 and IMX286 camera sensors at the rear and a 16MP front facing shooter. The rear cameras will be able to capture videos with up to 4K resolution and will have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
As far as RAM and internal storage are concerned, the handset will have different variants offering 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM along with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage. It will be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 chipset.
The Pro 7 Plus is tipped to cost around $500, $550 or $580 USD depending on different variants, while its younger brother will range from $410 to $560 USD.
The device is not the first one to introduce the rear mounted display, as the manufacturer Yota, already have two phones with this feature in the market.
How Meizu Pro 7 stacks up against other devices remains a question for now, but hopefully we won"t have to wait long as the firm will most likely to announce the phone in its event on July 26.
