Messenger also hit some impressive milestones along with way with Facebook noting that every month users send 17 billion photos, one billion messages, 380 million stickers. Meanwhile 22 million GIFs are sent every day.

Messenger joins Whatsapp, Facebook itself, and YouTube among the billion user monthly club and Facebook is celebrating with a balloon emoji.
