Metal Gear Solid Collection for the PlayStation Vita - out June 28

PS3 and Xbox 360 users were lucky enough to receive the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection last Winter, but what about PlayStation Vita owners without a dose of Metal Gear Solid? Well, they’re in luck now too because Sony has announced that its new handheld will be receiving almost the same treatment.

The Metal Gear Solid HD collection will be released for the Vita and will include Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. However, the collection will exclude Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The HD suffix is a little misleading because the Vita’s resolution isn’t actually high definition but despite that, the PlayStation Vita version of the collection will be displayed on its glorious 960x544 resolution.

Although the original collections featured Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, there are no plans to remaster that. Then again, Peace Walker is already available on the PlayStation Store. There also isn’t any word on whether the collection will incorporate any new gesture, touch or gyroscope features. However, we do know that the collection is scheduled for release on June 28.
