Today Microsoft announced that seven new titles will join the already 100-game strong Xbox Game Pass on November 1. Joining games like Halo 5: Guardians and Recore, will be the critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Resident Evil HD. In addition, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will join the subscription as well, after launching late last year.
The full list of games joining the program are as follows:
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
[...]In The Phantom Pain’s single-player campaign, you must stealthily guide Snake through an open world full of countless, dangerous enemies, while navigating the rugged terrain of Afghanistan to take down the evil Patriots organization. Once you finish with the campaign, gather your Xbox Game Pass comrades and jump into The Phantom Pain’s base-building multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online. There’s so much to do, so don’t miss out on all the fun and intensity Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can offer while it’s in the Xbox Game Pass catalog from November 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018. And, if you love Metal Gear Solid V, get ready for next chapter, Metal Gear Survive, which is set to release on Xbox One February 20, 2018.
[...]Play through the Campaign as you lead the UNSC’s Spirit of Fire against the Covenant forces in this epic adventure. At 1080p, 60fps, and paired with a dynamic soundtrack, now’s the best time to experience this RTS classic.
[...]Resident Evil HD takes you back to 1998, where you take on the role of either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, members of the STARS special forces team sent to investigate a series of very unusual murders. Cornered and sheltered inside a seriously spooky old mansion, you’ll find that your health is precious, and your ammo even more so. Can you survive the dangers of the night and uncover the evil intentions of the Umbrella corporation?
[...]In New ‘n’ Tasty, you control the lovable Mudokon, Abe, who is thrust into the position of hero-to-be once he realizes the meat processing plant where he works is about to get into the Mudokon-processing business. Not keen to become meat snacks, Abe sets out on a quest to escape the guards, Sligs, Scrabs, and other creepy creatures inhabiting the meat factory. Help Abe sneak his way to survival!
The World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap
For the action RPG and tower defense fans out there, our friends at Neocore have a treat for you: World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap. Jump back into the gothic realm of Incredible Adventures and protect the Silent Forts from the hordes of monsters seeking to destroy Borgovia. Build, protect, and defend solo or cooperatively, and even battle online against your friends and fellow Xbox Game Pass members. We love this Indie gem and we hope you do too!
More Mega Man, they said. More Mega Man, we bring. Our blue buddy returns to Xbox Game Pass with more to explore in Mega Man 9. For the uninitiated, Mega Man is a legendary 2D platforming shooter delivering hours of fun battling a wide array of bosses, from Hornet Man to Splash Woman and much more in between.
[...]Sky Force Anniversary is an exceptionally fun and fluid vertical scrolling shooter, demanding laser focus, nimble thumbs, and a deft trigger finger. With a deceptively simple but engaging progression system, collect as many stars as you can to strategically build out your weaponry, fortify your defenses, and achieve all four objectives for each stage. Beat all nine levels at each difficulty level and defeat the evil General Madness to unlock a bonus! Having trouble completing your missions as a squadron of one? Pull a friend onto the couch for some local co-op and take down General Madness together!
Xbox Game Pass is a gaming subscription that gives you access to over 100 titles on Xbox One for $9.99 per month. Microsoft pledged to add "at least" five new games to the program each month, and so far it has kept to that promise since the subscription launched earlier this year. Those who are looking to pick up the Xbox One X come November 7 will get a code to test it out, as revealed in the unboxing videos recently.
