MICA: This is Opening Ceremony's $500 dollar luxury wearable built by Intel

This is what a $500 Intel built wearable looks like. It"s called the MICA, My Intelligent Communication Accessory, and is designed by Opening Ceremony. The luxury wearable will be available starting in early December and come with two years of AT&T service included.

Built completely from the ground up, this luxury wearable will make a statement utilizing premium materials. The MICA is constructed using variety of materials like an 18K gold coating, a curved sapphire glass touch screen display and will be available in two styles. One style will feature black water snake skin, pearls from China and lapis stones from Madagascar. The second style will feature white water snake skin, a tiger"s eye from South Africa and obsidian from Russia.

While the focus is primarily on fashion, this wearable will still be able to function as a piece of technology. The MICA will provide access to text messages, Gmail, Google / Facebook calendar and event notifications. The wearable will also have a feature called "Time to Go" that will offer reminders for appointments that will be adjusted based on the users current location.

The wearable will retail for $495 USD and be available starting in December at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles, select Barneys New York locations, and online at each respective shops websites.
