Microsoft Corporation doesn’t just hunt around the top 100 tech websites for each country; Multimap also happens to be one Britain’s, and the world’s, leading online mapping services. It is unclear how much the software giant spent on its latest acquisition, but the company did announce plans to integrate Multimap with its other products and platforms. Apparently, Multimap is a great complement to the services Microsoft already offers. Multimap, which is available both for personal and business use, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, as part of the Virtual Earth and Search teams in the Online Services Group.
