Normally, Xbox One Backward Compatibility game announcements arrive on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but today Microsoft brought in a single Xbox 360 game to the program. Bandai Namco"s Ace Combat 6: Fires of the Liberation from 2007 is now natively playable on the Xbox One family of consoles.
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation (Not available for purchase)
Lead not only aerial combat units but also naval and ground combat units to victory. Massive conflicts unfold on a “living battlefield” integrated by the “Dynamic Operation System” where up to six independent aerial, ground, and naval battles can break out at once as allies and enemies clash in real-time.
While this is one of those games that is not directly available to purchase through the Xbox Marketplace, there is a method to grab a copy for those who don"t already own the disk, although its a pretty expensive one.
Anyone who purchases the upcoming entry in the series Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown - which launches tomorrow, January 18 - for the Xbox One will receive a free copy of Ace Combat 6 with their purchase.
This is a limited-time promotion, but the exact date of when it will come to an end was not shared.
