Last year, Microsoft partnered up with EY to build an end-to-end COVID vaccines" distribution solution. The U.K.-based firm has collaborated with Microsoft on other fronts too, such as using intelligent automation through leveraging Microsoft AI.
Today, Microsoft announced that it will be expanding its collaboration with EY, with the aim of creating $15bn in growth opportunity for their clients over a period of five years.
Judson Althoff, EVP and CCO at Microsoft, commented on this move, noting:
Today"s announcement is the next step in our longstanding relationship with EY. It means we will be able to provide greater overall technical expertise for our customers" cloud strategies through new solutions and platforms. In addition, our collaboration will enable customers in regulated industries to bring the power of the cloud to their back-office operations, fundamentally changing how they harness data to drive critical business functions.
Along with introducing new solutions and platforms, the Redmond giant will be training more than 150,000 EY employees on Microsoft technologies. EY, meanwhile, will be providing more than 40,000 experienced EY technology consulting professionals to its clients, leveraging an operation extension process for the EY Microsoft Services Group.
Managed services aimed at tech innovation will also be a core focus of this expansion. Teams at EY that already utilize both the Power Platform and Azure will aim to gain even more from them, in order to help accelerate the development of key solutions such as EY Tax and Finance Operate, and EY Pathway. Finally, the EY Trusted Data Fabric - an innovative enterprise offering that automates data processing and access through AI - is being collaboratively developed by both firms as well.
