Microsoft announces Dynamics 365 Project Operations for service-based businesses in India

Microsoft has announced the general availability of its Dynamics 365 Project Operations solution across India helping service-based organizations reimagine project management with a single, connected solution across functions.

Dynamics 365 Project Operations was first unveiled in February this year and became generally available last month.

Essentially, a sort of a combination of Microsoft Project and Dynamics 365, the solution is aimed to help service-based businesses in unifying operational workflows to provide visibility, collaboration, and insights across teams. It uses real-time analytics to connect leadership, sales, resourcing, project management, and accounting teams to deliver services to customers.

Service organizations often face challenges arising from disparate systems and data silos which impact visibility, collaboration, and adds inadequacies in the system. Rajiv Sodhi – COO, Microsoft India, believes that Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations will truly enable such businesses to reimagine project management by bringing together cross-functional teams to deliver differentiated customer experiences. The solution is another Microsoft Business Applications offering that helps leverage the power of unified data and applied intelligence.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations builds on the company’s depth of expertise with front office, back office, collaboration, productivity, and project management in service-based businesses.

Built on the Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365 Project Operations brings together capabilities from Dynamics 365 Project Service Automation, Dynamics 365 Finance, and Microsoft Project. It integrates with the organization’s current enterprise systems without the need to rip and replace existing systems and can also be adapted to connect with other Microsoft apps and services, including Dynamics 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
