Microsoft announces its Xbox Series X games showcase event for July 23

Back in May, Microsoft announced that it was going to hold monthly events to show off its next-gen Xbox up until its launch. Then it skipped June. But here we are in July, and Microsoft has announced that the next event will be on July 23 at noon Eastern Time.

If you"re an Xbox fan, this is the event that you won"t want to miss, because as was promised back in May, this is the one where Microsoft will show off its exclusives. Yes, that means Halo Infinite will be shown in all its glory. Don"t get too excited though, as you still can"t buy it until this holiday season.

The event will focus on games though, rather than hardware. There have been rumors of a cheaper version of the Xbox Series X, possibly called the Xbox Series S, for a while. That might be announced in August, and almost certainly not at the event this month.

Other than Halo Infinite, it"s anyone"s guess what we may see this month. Typical launch titles would include Xbox staples like Forza and Gears of War, and then there are games that were already teased like Psychonauts 2. The event will be live-streamed on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch. Obviously, it won"t be coming to Mixer, since Microsoft is killing off its streaming service before then.
