With the new school year just around the corner in most countries, Microsoft has introduced new "student focused, teacher inspired" tools for the classroom. Coupled with Office 365 Education, these tools will allow better and more streamlined collaboration between teachers and students.
The Redmond giant has announced "Microsoft Classroom" for Office 365, which is designed to offer a streamlined experience to manage class and assignment workflow for both teachers and students. Educators will be able to create new Office documents using the company"s software, such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint, or use content that they already have.
Additionally, Microsoft has released "School Data Sync", which allows IT administrators to connect existing school systems to Office 365. The company has also made Microsoft Forms generally available worldwide, through which both students and teachers can create custom quizzes, questionnaires, registrations, surveys, and more.
Touting the latest OneNote inking features exclusive to Windows 10 as "Think with Ink", Microsoft is now enabling students to write equations that can be recognized by the software. OneNote will then solve these equations and solve them step-by-step to make it easier for students to understand.
