Microsoft announces new Dynamics 365 AI and AR apps for iOS and Android

Microsoft started its push for the business use case of mixed reality in September with HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality apps. Now, the firm is announcing a variety of Dynamics 365 cloud services with AI and apps for iOS and Android with augmented reality.

In the AI department, we have Customer Insights, Virtual Agent for Customer Service, and Fraud Protection. Customer Insights is exactly what it sounds like, offering actionable analytics on your customers to help "personalize experiences, retain customers, and build loyalty." Virtual Agent lets you make AI customer service representatives to handle common tasks. Fraud Protection is also just what it sounds like, a cloud service designed to minimize fraud loss.

Customer Insights is available in preview now and will be generally available in April, while the rest of the cloud services will be in preview in April.

On the mixed reality side of things, Microsoft is bringing Dynamics 365 Remote Assist to Android. Formerly only for HoloLens, the app uses augmented reality lets someone help you with something remotely by drawing on top of the real world.

Also, Product Visualize is coming to iOS. This app allows you to place products on top of the real world, so you can see what they would look like. The functionality of Remote Assist and Product Visualize was among the features shown off in the earliest HoloLens promo videos.
