Microsoft announces Outlook 2016 for Mac Preview, which is available to everyone

Last month, Microsoft added support for Google calendars and contacts to Outlook 2016 for Office Insiders. The firm says that it still needs additional feedback though, so today, it announced the Outlook for Mac Preview.

To be clear, this is different from the Office Insider Program, which requires an Office 365 subscription. Also, you would have the entire Office suite installed, and this is a standalone Preview of Outlook 2016 for Mac.

It"s also open to absolutely everyone until June 30, 2017. You"ll get the latest build of the application, where the company hopes that you will test it out with your Google account. Once the program ends, you won"t be able to use the app anymore.

In Microsoft"s announcement, under "What if I don"t use Outlook for Mac", the company answers itself with, "This preview is for you!" So, to be clear, this is not for the Office enthusiasts that are likely already on the Insider Program; this is for users that don"t even use the app.

If you want to try out the Outlook for Mac Preview, you can download it here.
