Microsoft took consumers down memory lane when it unveiled the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2 in black earlier this month. That was the color of the original Surface devices announced in 2012 and 2013, and now the software giant is expanding the color options for consumers, at least in China.
Panos Panay, Microsoft"s Corporate Vice President for the devices group, announced via his Twitter account that the company is bringing a blush color option of its latest Surface laptop exclusively to the Chinese market. Panay revealed that the new color variant is designed by Quan Jasinski, one of the lead Surface designers at Microsoft.
For Surface fans outside China who wish to get their hands on this color option, there"s no word yet from Microsoft whether the Surface Laptop 2 in blush is coming to other territories. It"s not immediately clear as well when the new color option will roll out in that country, though it shouldn"t take long as the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2 will start shipping on October 16.
It should be noted, though, that the blush color variant is no different from the black version in terms of specs and features.
