Microsoft announces the launch of Starbucks for Outlook add-in

Back in March, at its Build 2016 developer conference, Microsoft showed off a new Starbucks add-in for Outlook. Today, it announced that the add-in is now available.

The add-in includes a new "Meet at Starbucks" button on the Outlook ribbon, making it easy to schedule a meeting with colleagues, business contacts or friends at one of the company"s many coffee houses:

Simply click the “Meet at Starbucks” command from the ribbon when creating a new meeting request, search for your favorite Starbucks store, and add it as the location of your upcoming meeting.

The add-in also allows users to quickly send a Starbucks eGift Card from their inboxes. For a limited time, those who do so will also get a free $5 eGift Card for themselves - but note that the offer is limited to those in the United States.

The new add-in is now available from the Office Store for users of the new Outlook.com - which is continuing to roll out - as well as those who use Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016, and Outlook on the web with Office 365, Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016 mailboxes. Instructions on how to install the add-in are available here.

However, it"s not yet available for Outlook for Mac or Outlook Mobile, but Microsoft says that it is "working to make add-ins available for Outlook for Mac and mobile in the coming months".
