Microsoft announces the Surface Dock 2 with four USB-C ports and more

Today, Microsoft announced the Surface Book 3, Surface Go 2, and Surface Headphones 2, but alongside new products comes new accessories. The company introduced the Surface Dock 2 and USB-C Travel Hub, offering some expandability like the original Surface Dock.

The Surface Dock 2 packs some considerable improvements over its predecessor, even though it still connects via the Surface Connect port. It now has four USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports for 10Gbps data transfer. Two of those are video-enabled and can be used for 15W fast charging.

There are also two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It"s coming later this month for $259.99.

USB-C Travel Hub

Then there"s the USB-C Travel Hub. This one is smaller and connects via USB Type-C, but it has a more diverse range of ports. There"s one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and VGA. It will also be available later this month, but for $99.99.

Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop

Finally, Microsoft introduced some new desktop accessories. There"s the Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop set , and the Microsoft Ergonomic Desktop set, which will run you $59.99 and $89.99, respectively.
